To make sure that only approved family members can manage your Circle device, we utilize a passcode when recovering your account or if necessary adding another management device. In rare circumstances, the passcode you receive via text may fail to work.
In this scenario, it can usually be easily remedied if you have another device with the Circle app already installed and connected to your Circle device. On that device's Circle app, navigate to Menu -> Manage -> Get Circle Passcode for the latest passcode, and enter it into the device you're now trying to pair to Circle.
If no other devices have been setup to manage Circle, you can try these steps:
1. Restart both your router and Circle device; hold the Circle device's power button on the back for approximately 10-15 seconds until the white light goes off, and then hold the power button for a few seconds until it turns back on.
2. Once the Circle device has repaired itself to your router (a consistent solid white light), in the Circle app tap "Resend Code".
