Note: The Circle skill for Alexa is only available in the United States and on the Circle 1st generation device at this time.
Have an Alexa device in your home? With Circle Connections, you're able to pair Circle's magical parental controls and monitoring with the world's most powerful voice assistant. Once you've enabled the Circle Skill in Alexa, you're all set to go.
Requirements
Before you go to enable the Circle Skill with your Alexa device you'll need to have the following setup:
- Your Circle device paired to your network.
- An Alexa device and Amazon account.
- The latest version of the Circle app.
- Access to a computer, or the Alexa app for iOS/Android.
Getting Started
Setting up the Circle Alexa Skill on a Computer (PC, Mac)
- Head to the Amazon skills page for Circle.
- If you haven't already, log into the Amazon account associated with your Alexa device.
- Click Enable to start the process of linking Alexa and your Circle device. A popup window will try to open. Make sure to allow the popup, or click the "Link Account" button that appears if the window doesn't automatically open.
Setting up the Circle Alexa Skill on a Mobile Device (iOS, Android)
- Open the Alexa app, and search for "Circle".
- Tap on the Circle skill as shown below.
- If you haven't already, log into the Amazon account associated with your Alexa device.
- Tap Enable to start the process of linking Alexa and your Circle device.
Connect Your Circle
- Enter the phone number associated with your Circle device into the phone number field, and then click "Submit".
- Enter the passcode that is sent to you in the passcode field, and then click "Submit".
- Once your passcode is accepted, you'll be ready to connect Alexa. Don't exit out yet. Make sure to hit "Connect" on this screen to finish the process!
- Amazon will load a page letting you know your Circle Skill is now connected. Yay!
- Make sure you also enable the Circle skill within Alexa! You can do so by saying "Alexa, start Circle.", and Alexa should respond with some examples for how to use the Circle skill.

To invoke the Circle skill for Alexa, you'll need to make sure you start your command with "Alexa, ask Circle…" This clues Alexa in that you're about to ask or tell it something about your Circle device.
