Once you have Circle Go installed, there are a couple of ways that you can check to see if it is working. Here are some ideas of things to look for:
Confirm Installation of the Circle Go Profile
If you are concerned that the Circle Go installation process may not have been successful, the first thing to check on is whether the VPN and management profiles are visible in your settings. To check on this:
- Open your iOS Settings app and go to General >> Device Management. Confirm that the Circle Go management profile is installed there.
- Then, go to iOS Settings >> General >> VPN to confirm that the Circle Go VPN is also installed on that device.
TURN YOUR WI-FI OFF
If you turn the Wi-Fi off on your phone or tablet so that it switches to 4G LTE, you will notice a VPN badge in your device’s status bar. If it does not pop up right away, it's possible that your phone is not attempting an online connection, so open up your mobile browser and go to a new web page (or just reload one that's already open). The VPN badge indicates that Circle Go is operating successfully on your device. Here is what it looks like:
The VPN should be on whenever you're using the Internet on cell networks. The VPN badge may disappear during periods of inactivity or when connected to certain Wi-Fi networks (like your home Wi-Fi), but it will reappear automatically when it is connected back to 4G LTE.
