Excited to get the latest bugfixes and features for your Circle hardware? Maybe Circle has been offline for several months and needs some TLC. If you'd like to perform a manual check for firmware updates, here's how to do it:
- Grab an ethernet cord, and plug one end into your main router that is paired with Circle. Hold onto the other disconnected end.
- Begin holding the Circle’s power button, as if you were going to turn it off.
- Midway through this (about 5 seconds), quickly plug the other end of the ethernet cable into the Circle's port while continuing to hold the power button.
- Let go of the power button after a second; if an update is available, it should start the process (you'll know if you see the LED rapidly blink), and reboot shortly afterwards.
