Circle has become aware of some issues while using Circle paired with the D-Link DIR-853 router, a very popular router in international markets.
What seems to be the problem?
When Circle is paired with this router, inconsistent connection speeds may occur and some sites may fail to load on devices managed under a profile filter level other than None.
How can I resolve this?
Our testing has determined that these issues are largely mitigated and often outright resolved by making sure that Circle is set to Highest Priority in the router's QOS Engine. To do this:
- On a computer on your network, open a web browser and go to the router's gateway address (default is 192.168.1.1).
- Log in with the administrator password you assigned during router setup.
- Hover your mouse over the Features tab at the top of the screen and click QOS Engine.
- Drag Circle (Circle/Circle Media) to the Highest Priority Section.
- Click Save.
