The Circle team is currently aware of an issue where the online game "Overwatch" will not be tracked properly. The resources used by Overwatch are a mix of servers and currently appear as uncategorized instead of Online Gaming. A work around for this is to limit the Daily Time Limit for the profile or to Pause the device using an OffTime, BedTime, or manual Pause when gaming should not be allowed.
How Can You Help?
Circle content filtering is based primarily on website categorization provided by a service called Webroot Brightcloud. When you or one of your family members accesses a website and Circle intercepts it, it then checks the website with this service in order to see what category it should fall under. Many modern video games will use some IP Addresses and sites that may not have been caught by this service, and categorized yet. This will lead to the issue described above.
What you can do, when you find one of these IPs or websites in your history or usage, is:
- Access Webroot Brightcloud.
- Select "I'm not a robot".
- Enter the IP Address or Website in the search bar and select "Look Up".
- Scroll down on the page and enter the required fields for "Request a Change" and then select "Submit".
Once a change has been requested, it can take around three business days for this change to be approved by Brightcloud and reflected in Circle.
