How to understand Circle Filter Levels
Circle lets you assign a different Filter Level to each family member profile. You can assign a profile to the None, Adult, Teen, or Kid levels.
Each of these filter levels has a default set of popular apps, websites, and categories settings as described below. The more restrictive a Filter Level, the more categories, popular apps and websites will be set to "Not Allowed" in the list. This means those are going to be blocked by default.
You can learn about each Filter Level and what is set to Allowed or Not Allowed by default below. As well, the chart details if our Safe Search and Restricted Mode features are enabled for that profile by default or not.

Kid
The Kid Filter level grants access to kid-safe experiences but filters out content not designed for children (such as social media, explicit and mature material, gambling, dating, online shopping, etc.)

Teen
The Teen Filter Level grants access to most general-use apps and categories, but filters out adult-oriented content like dating websites, explicit or mature material, and gambling.

With this level Circle does not filter content, track Usage or History, or limit time on the Internet.
Unmanaged Devices
Devices in your Circle device list can also be assigned to be Unmanaged. These devices will never be managed or tracked by Circle. We recommend putting unknown devices, guests, or your network / smart home devices to Unmanaged. You can read more on Unmanaged Devices here.
