When Circle Home Plus is paired with your router, a new Profile will be created -- the Home Profile.
The Home Profile is a Profile for shared family devices, like your smart TV or family desktop. Add devices to the Home Profile if they belong to more than one family member.
Just like with any family member, the Home Profile can be set up to use all of Circle’s features such as Filters, Time Limits, BedTime, Usage, and History.
Within the application, the Home Profile is represented by the House icon in the middle of your user profiles.
To assign or reassign a device to the Home Profile:
- From the Circle Parental Controls app, open the Device list by tapping the two rectangles on the top right corner of the screen.
- From the Device list, tap the device you'd like to re-assign.
- On the Device Settings screen, tap the Assigned to column.
- Select the Home profile icon.
Automatic Device Assignment
While you're setting up Circle Home Plus, you’ll be asked if you want to “Assign new devices to the Home profile”. If you toggle this option ON, any new devices that join your network will be automatically assigned to the Home profile and be managed using the Home profile settings.
You can change the setting for auto-assigning new devices to the Home profile from the Circle Settings menu >> by tapping the toggle next to "Assign New Devices to Home Profile". A blue toggle indicates the setting is ON, while a gray toggle indicates the setting is OFF.
What happens to the Home profile if I remove Circle Home Plus?
The Home profile is only accessible if you are using the Circle Parental Controls app in combination with the Circle Home Plus hardware. If you are to Remove Circle Home Plus from your Circle app Settings menu, the Home profile will no longer be available for use.
Upon reconnecting Circle Home Plus to your home network, you will be prompted to create new Filter Settings and Device Assignments for the Home profile - while Setting up Circle Home Plus. Other settings like BedTime, Time Limits, or Focus Times will reflect any previous configuration that had existed.
My Home Profile Icon is Orange. What does this mean?
If you are an Android user and are seeing an orange Home profile icon, this indicates that your Circle device is offline or disconnected from the app. You may have also received notifications from the Circle Parental Controls app informing you that Circle Home Plus is offline.
