The white light on the back of the Circle Home Plus or Circle with Disney device is the LED Power Indicator and also indicates the status of your device
Note: make sure to wait a couple of minutes to set up after powering on your Circle device or resetting it.
Depending on the light's pattern, it can indicate the following:
- Solid light: The Circle device is ON and paired to a network. Need to move it to a new network? See the article here.
Circle Home Plus only: If you need to unpair it, open the app then Menu >> Settings and tap "Remove Circle Home Plus". This will remove the device and reset it so it's ready for set up again. Don't worry, you won't lose your profile settings after doing so.
If your LED light is solid but the app says the device is offline, see here for help. - Slow blinking light: The Circle device is ON but unpaired; it either cannot see the wireless network it was paired with, or has not been set up yet and paired to a network. You'll set it up by following this guide.
- (Circle Home Plus only) Slow double blinking light: The Circle device is ON and has been provisioned to communicate with our app but cannot reach our servers. We recommend unplugging and replugging the Ethernet cable into your main router, then rebooting Circle and waiting a minute or two to see if the light goes solid (indicating a connection online).
If the light continues blinking double, try removing Circle Home Plus from under Menu >> Settings >> Remove Circle Home Plus. Afterward reset the unit manually and set up again as new using the in-app prompt under the Circle app Menu. - Fast blinking light: The Circle device is ON, but it's in the process of factory resetting, or there is an internal issue (like a low battery). Make sure it is plugged into power via USB, and let a few minutes elapse. If your light on Circle is fast blinking: troubleshoot for "Circle Isn't Powering On!" and try resetting the device.
- No white LED light: The Circle device is OFF or not receiving power. If this is not on purpose, see this article for troubleshooting steps.
What should I do after a power outage or if Circle won't connect?
If you've had some power outage issues recently and are having issues with Circle we recommend rebooting your router by powering it off and on, then rebooting Circle. Afterward, wait 15 minutes or so for things to reconnect. Note: rebooting your router will take down your access to the Internet temporarily. If the Circle device still does not power on or have a solid LED light try changing to another power outlet, or checking your breakers at home. As well, you may need to plug Circle into your router via Ethernet and wait a few minutes.
What do the lights on the Ethernet port mean?
Once you've powered on and plugged in your Circle device, then plugged in an Ethernet cord into Circle's Ethernet port, the amber and green lights there should begin flashing. These lights represent the Ethernet port's status.
- The left LED is the speed indicator: Amber on means the port is using 1000 MBP/s speeds (Circle Home Plus only), green that it is using 100 MBP/s speed, or if off that the device is using MBP/s speeds. If the light is not indicating the speed you expect check that your Ethernet cord is capable of that speed.
- The right LED is the activity indicator:
-
Blinking – There is activity on this port.
-
Off – No link is established.
