Trying to load a website you've set to allowed and part of it isn't loading correctly? Using an app and the video content embedded in it is not playing? It's possible you need to check your Profile settings or History for Filtered sites elsewhere on the web!
Why is only part of this website loading correctly?
Sometimes while surfing the web on a device that Circle is managing you might notice that only part of a website loads, while the rest of it, an embedded video for example, doesn't. Since websites often use resources from other websites, it's possible that your Profile settings for that device are keeping this content from loading. The more restrictive your settings are the more likely this is to occur.
An example might help: a lot of websites host their video content on Vimeo. Since Vimeo's video hosting policies allow for some pretty risque material Circle by default categorizes Vimeo and its videos as Mature content. If you're using a Profile level that sets Mature content to "Not Allowed" or has set Vimeo to "Not Allowed" videos from Vimeo will be Filtered and kept from loading by Circle.
How can I make sure this website or app loads correctly?
If you're seeing only part of a website load correctly take a look at your History for the Profile your device is assigned to. Open the Circle app, that Profile, and then the History, Filtered, section. Look for recent websites that have been Filtered. Do you see anything that looks like its part of the website you are having trouble loading? You can resolve this a couple of webs:
- Set the websites that appear under History, Filtered section to "Allowed" by tapping on them and then "Set to Allowed". You can then wait a minute and see if the website loads correctly.
- You may need to change the settings for a Category or the App / Website to "Allowed". For example, if parts of Instagram aren't loading you might need to set the Facebook app to allowed since Instagram uses a lot of the same resources as Facebook.
- If the Profile has a restrictive Filter Level like Kid you might need to change the Profile's Filter Level to one less restrictive.
