NOTE: If you are using Circle Home Plus, check out our Compatibility Mode article to learn how this exciting feature may resolve your compatibility trouble.
Compatibility Mode is NOT available for the Circle 1st generation app and Circle Home device.
The Circle team is aware of some issues while using the Circle device with the Technicolor TC8715T / TC8717T router.
What seems to be the problem?
When the Circle device is connected over Ethernet or a device is connected to the 5GHz network Usage/History tracking may be intermittent.
How can I resolve this?
Enabling compatibility mode for Circle may resolve some of the above issues. You can read more about compatibility mode here.
If after enabling compatibility mode you're still experiencing the above issues with the Technicolor TC8715T / TC8717T router we recommend unplugging the Ethernet cord from Circle and leaving the Circle device connected wirelessly to your network and within 3-5 feet of your router for the best connection. We'd also recommend disabling the 5GHz band for best success managing all your devices. In addition, make sure that any devices you do not recognize are set to "Unmanaged".
Still need help?
If you've walked through the above and are still having issues, you may need to factory reset your Circle and set it up again. You can reset Circle via the Circle app under Menu and then Settings >> Reset Circle Home Plus. Afterwards, make sure your Ethernet cord is unplugged and then set up the Circle device again by following the in-app prompts and this guide.
