Note: this article applies only to the Circle 1st generation device and software. The Circle Parental Controls app (v2) and Circle Home Plus are able to manage Disney+ as its own Platform.
Allowing a profile's devices to access Disney+
The Circle team is aware of an issue with the way Disney+ (Disney Plus) is categorized and filtered by our services for the Circle 1st generation app and device.
Many online services are powered by additional websites or third-party tools that don't obviously belong to to that service. We have identified other additional web services that are used by Disney+:
- disney-plus.net
- dssott.com
- bamgrid.com
These are currently being categorized in the Usage as 'Issues & Lifestyles' (dssott.com) and 'Business' (bamgrid.com and disney-plus.net).
For a device to access Disney+, the profile would need to allow the categories of 'Issues & Lifestyles' and 'Business'.
Category Filters can be toggled to Allowed, Not Allowed, or Unmanaged.
- Select the profile that you would like to access Disney+.
- Tap Filter.
- Change the Filter setting for the 'Issues & Lifestyles' and 'Business' categories by tapping the button beside each to Allowed.
- Tap Save when finished.
You may also find adding the above websites as Customer Filters and "Allowed" helps the site load.
