Seeing a site in your profile's Usage section that you think it is in the wrong category? There are a couple of things you can do to report or manage that.
Suggest a category change for a website
If you want to suggest a change for one or a couple of websites that appear in Circle, you can do so through one of our partner services.
- Head over to the BrightCloud site.
- Enter in the website domain into the URL or IP field on the left of the screen and let the sit know you aren't a robot.
- It will tell you what category the website belongs to and also provide you an opportunity to report the site if it isn't appropriately categorized.
- To request a re-categorization of the site, fill in the form that displays alongside the results.
PLEASE NOTE: Your request will be reviewed, but here is no guarantee your recommendation will go into effect.
Suggest a category change for a Circle managed app or website
Circle is able to track and manage a number of popular apps and websites directly, like Facebook or Netflix. You can see the list of these here. If you believe an app or website in this list is showing up under the wrong category, we'd love to hear your feedback.
Here's what to tell us:
- Set the subject line as "Category change for site."
- Include a screenshot of the Usage you are seeing or the sites appearing in your History.
- Let us know the Circle category you suggest the site in question should fall under.
PLEASE NOTE: Your request will be reviewed, but here is no guarantee your recommendation will go into effect.
How can I tell what Circle Category a site or app falls in?
Wondering what Circle category a site or app falls under? Once you've visited the site on a managed device, it will show up under Usage for that device. To see what category a site or appear appears under:
- Open the profile you want to know more about.
- Tap on Usage.
- Look for the Circle category you believe would include the site. For example, Search and Reference for Google.com.
- Tap on the category to reveal Usage for that day.
- You can change the time period to see other Usage.
