This process is very similar to adding an Android or iOS device by installing the Circle app and setting up the kid experience. What if my Chromebook isn't on the list?
The list above are Chromebooks that we know will allow the installation of the Circle Parental Controls app and setup of the kid experience to manage both on your home network , and when they are connected away from your home network. If your device is not listed here it may still work with the Circle Parental Controls app. If you meet the following requirements, install the Circle app and try it out.
What are the requirements for managing my Chromebook with the Circle app?
- The Chromebook must have the Google Play Store enabled.
- The Chromebook must support installation of Google Play Store apps.
- The Android container the Chromebook uses must support Android 6 or higher. Check with your device's manufacturer that it supports Android 6+.
If you find that you are unable to install and setup the Circle Parental Controls app, you can still set up Circle Home Plus to manage any Internet-connected devices that use your network. Learn more here!
